Modern Slavery Statement
Modern Slavery Statement for Man with Van Holland Park
Man with Van Holland Park is committed to conducting all aspects of its operations in a manner that respects human rights, promotes fair working conditions, and actively prevents modern slavery and human trafficking. This Modern Slavery Statement explains our approach, our expectations of suppliers and contractors, and the steps we take to identify, address, and reduce the risk of modern slavery in our services and supply chains.
Our zero-tolerance approach
We operate a clear and explicit zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, debt bondage, child labour, and exploitation. This policy applies to every part of our business, including our own employees, agency workers, subcontractors, and all individuals and organisations engaged to support our moving, transport, and related services.
No commercial objective or operational pressure justifies a breach of human rights. Any confirmed instance of modern slavery connected to our business will result in immediate and decisive action, which may include termination of contracts, reporting to relevant authorities, and, where appropriate, supporting remediation for affected individuals.
Our supply chain and risk areas
Our primary supply chain includes vehicle hire and maintenance providers, fuel suppliers, equipment and packaging suppliers, and subcontracted labour and logistics partners. While we are a small, service-focused business, we recognise that modern slavery risks can exist in any sector, including transport, logistics, cleaning, and temporary labour provision.
We give particular attention to suppliers and partners who rely on low-skilled, temporary, or migrant labour, or operate in sectors or regions where labour standards are known to be at higher risk.
Supplier standards and audits
We expect all suppliers, subcontractors, and business partners to uphold the same high standards that we apply to ourselves. Our commercial arrangements require suppliers to comply with applicable laws relating to employment, working conditions, and modern slavery, and to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place in their own businesses or wider supply chains.
We undertake proportionate, risk-based supplier assessments and audits. These may include requests for information on labour practices and recruitment, review of policies and training, and, where appropriate, site visits or discussions with management. If we identify concerns or receive credible allegations of exploitation, we will investigate and require corrective action. Failure to cooperate or remediate will lead to a review of the relationship and may result in ending the contract.
Reporting concerns and whistleblowing
All workers, suppliers, and other stakeholders are encouraged to report any suspicion or knowledge of modern slavery or unethical labour practices connected to our business. Reports can be made openly or confidentially through the internal channels explained during induction and supplier onboarding.
We do not tolerate victimisation or retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith. Every report will be taken seriously, assessed promptly, and, where necessary, investigated. Where appropriate, we will work with relevant organisations and authorities to address any identified harm and to support affected individuals.
Training and awareness
We promote awareness of modern slavery risks among our management, employees, and key subcontractors. Induction and refresher briefings explain what modern slavery is, how to recognise warning signs, and how to report concerns. We expect line managers and those responsible for procurement or supplier relationships to understand our zero-tolerance stance and to apply it in their day-to-day decisions.
Monitoring, accountability, and annual review
Responsibility for overseeing our response to modern slavery risks rests with senior management, who review any reported concerns, audit findings, and changes in relevant legislation or best practice. We use this information to strengthen our internal processes, supplier requirements, and training materials.
This Modern Slavery Statement will be reviewed at least once every year and updated when necessary to reflect changes in our business structure, supply chain, or legal obligations. Through this ongoing review, Man with Van Holland Park aims to continuously improve its approach to preventing modern slavery and to demonstrate clear accountability for the standards we expect and uphold.
